Hello and welcome to my website!
I want to truly thank you for the time you have taken to view my site and consider supporting me for this great opportunity. Patmos Reality Discipleship is a three month adventure in which I will be taking part in various life changing challenges that will push me physically, emotionally and spiritually. You ask why am I doing this? Well this past year has been a period in my life where I faced different situations that strayed me away from God to the point where I didn't acknowledge Him at all. This past October I joined a missions team to help at the All Saints AIDS Camp in Nassau, Bahamas. It was a great experience where I truly saw God working in the lives of the residents in the camp. I have to say I was amazed by how these residents had so little and yet they were so closed to God. I wanted that feeling, and I was desperate to seek God but I didn't know how. During that week in the Bahamas I met a friend that volunteers at a camp called the ALC (Adventure Learning Center). It's a non-profit organization that reaches out to the community and helps the churches, orphanages, the disabled, the elderly, and much more. He mentioned to me that in the Bahamas they also have a ministry in the ALC called Patmos. I told him what I saw and what I was feeling those past few days. As soon as I finished talking, he told me that Patmos was the opportunity for me to take part in and that as soon as I go to bed that night I needed to pray to the Lord for confirmation on this. So I did, and as soon as I woke up the next day I had these feelings of happiness, peace and joy as if patmos was the final puzzle piece that I was looking for to refine me. Everything I see and hear is all about Patmos and that to me is confirmation from God saying that I should go and seek Him there. The great thing is that Patmos Brazil is a three month term in the summer so I don't have to miss school at all... Thank God! :o) This will most likely be my last free summer until I go to a University to attend the Nursing Program for the next three years. Patmos is a life-changing opportunity, and I want to take you with me on this journey. The entire three month trip is about $5,200.00 and my deadline is April 5, 2010. With your donation, it will help get me closer to my goal to take this trip to seek God and His wonders. I hope you can pray about your involvement in this.
